The Behavioral Health Administration released a proposal this month to consolidate several scattered safety-net funding lines into a unified outcomes-based approach.

What’s in it

  • Replacing entitlement-based reimbursement with outcomes-aligned payment
  • Streamlining audit and regulatory requirements that currently duplicate across departments
  • Better aligning the work of RAEs and BHAOs

What we’re watching

The Alliance is engaging with HCPF, BHA, and member organizations on the proposal. Particular focus is on whether the consolidation actually reduces administrative burden on providers — or just relabels it.
